Business Development Manager (Bismarck, ND) - The North Dakota Department of Economic Development & Finance is looking for a manager to supervise business development specialists. Manager will develop staff proficiencies, lead the team in creating marketing plan, identify needs of the state's primary-sector businesses to ensure appropriate service delivery, and secure new business investments for North Dakota.
Successful applicant must be able to coordinate resources, complement project development, demonstrate strong people skills and maintain the integrity of the agency while focusing on successful business locations. Candidate must be proven participant in enabling project startups, expansions and relocations. Five to 10 years experience in economic development required.
Salary range: upper-$60s to mid-$70s. Generous benefits provided.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelors degree in business administration, accounting or a related field, and a minimum of two to three years current lending or credit review experience, with a chartered financial institution. Knowledge of the elements of sound lending practices, ability to use a personal computer, reasonable proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software and a high degree of interpersonal and public relations skills necessary. Exposure to venture capital funding desirable.

Summary of Work:
Responsible for the credit review function of the North Dakota Development Fund, oversees preparation of all loan and financial reports, handles loan closings and funding requests, manage assigned loan portfolio, review and present new loan and equity requests to the NDDF Board of Directors, make public presentations and assist the CEO in the planning and budgeting of the NDDF.
