ADDS 100 JOBS
Unisys Corp. is adding at least 100 jobs to its service center in Bismarck, which it intends to make the primary customer billing office for the United States and Latin America. The Bismarck center already handles expense reports and reimbursements for Unisys.
The Bismarck service center currently employs 140, and will add at least 100 more. The new positions will include three managerial, eight technical/professional, and 89 data entry positions. Hiring should be completed by October.
Company officials said the new jobs will pay an average of $25,000 annually, or $12 an hour, although some positions will pay more and others less. This compares to what the companys present Bismarck work force receives. Unisyss annual payroll for its current Bismarck service center is approximately $4,046,570.
Thomas McGlinn, a Unisys vice president, praised what he called the companys extraordinary Bismarck employees, and called the change a perfect opportunity to leverage what we have here in expertise. We are really blessed with the talents that are here in Bismarck and the whole state. We have been very fortunate to be able to recruit good people, McGlinn said.
Unisys sells computer servers, software, and technology services. The company has 37,000 employees, 55 major offices worldwide, and customers in 100 countries.
